How to Write a Good Crime Novel

Sophie Hannah, the author of the gripping psychological suspense novel, Little Face, shares some secrets of the trade.

Sophie Hannah is a bestselling poet and novelist who regularly performs her work both nationwide and abroad. She has won awards for her short stories and for her poetry, including first prize in the 2004 Daphne Du Maurier Festival Short Story Competition.

She has won several awards for her poetry, which is studied at GCSE, A-level and degree level across the UK. From 1997 to 1999 she was Fellow Commoner in Creative Arts at Trinity College, Cambridge, and between 1999 and 2001 she was a fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford. Her work has also been published in America, Germany and Australia. She is thirty-three and lives in West Yorkshire with her husband and two children.
