Francesca Simon was born in the USA and attended both Yale andOxford Universities. She lives in London with her English husband and son and their Tibetan spaniel, Shanti. She is the author of eleven best-selling Horrid Henry stories. Horrid Henry Meets the Queen is published in July 2004.
