Francine Prose is Distinguished Writer in Residence at Bard College and the author of more than twenty books. She is also a literary critic and arts commentator. Her most recent novel was Lovers at the Chameleon Club, Paris 1932. Recent works of nonfiction include the highly acclaimed Anne Frank: The Book, The Life and The Afterlife.

With her unique collecting habits, paradigm-changing discoveries, celebrity friendships, failed marriage and scandalous affairs, there was nothing remotely monochrome about the life of Peggy Guggenheim.
