Ronald Harwood CBE is one of Britain's leading play-wrights and screenwriters. His films include The Pianist, winner of the 2002 Palme d'Or, the 2003 BAFTA for Best Film and the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay; and The Dresser, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay.

His many plays inlcude his adaptation of Le Diner de Cons by Francis Veber, as See You Next Tuesday, which opened in November 2003 at the Albery Theatre in London. 

He is the author of several novels including Home, which was awarded the 1994 Jewish Quarterly Prize for Fiction. Among his non-fiction is All The World's A Stage, a history of the theatre which accompanied the BBC2 TV series that he presented.
