Hugh Dennis
Maureen Lipman
Simon Schama
Chair: Dan Patterson

This event took place on Saturday 25th February 2017 as part of Jewish Book Week 2017.

The ebullient Dan Patterson, co-creator of Mock the Week, presents an evening of irreverent entertainment. Dan and the audience pose the questions – Hugh Dennis, Maureen Lipman and Simon Schama come up with the answers. Will this hotshot comedic crew have the spirit, stamina and chutzpah to outsmart all of us?

An earlier version of this listing included Sindhu Vee. Unfortunately she is now no longer able to participate.

With thanks to Kate and David Birk

Maureen Lipman – writer, actress, pundit and now iPad artist – is in her fiftieth year as an irrational treasure. She writes regularly for, among others, Standpoint and Spectator Health.

Dan Patterson is a TV producer and writer, responsible for both the British and American incarnations of the improvisation show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and the satirical panel show Mock the Week.

Hugh Dennis is a comedian, actor, writer and impressionist. He plays Pete Brockman, the father in the BBC1 sitcom Outnumbered and, since 2005, has been a regular panellist on Mock the Week.

Simon Schama, Professor of Art History and History at Columbia University, writer, journalist and broadcaster, has written and presented over 40 films for the BBC.
