Two authors speaking at JBW 2018 appear on the shortlist for the Baillie Gifford prize for Non-Fiction; Simon Schama, for his Belonging: The Story of the Jews, 1492 – 1900; and and Kapka Kassabova for her Border: A Journey to the Edge of Europe.

Jewish Book Week speaker David Grossman was awarded the Man Booker International Prize for his novel, A Horse Walks Into a Bar at a ceremony last night at the Victoria & Albert Museum. The novel was translated by Jessica Cohen and is published by Jonathan Cape.
