Gail Sandler
Co-Chair
Gail Sandler is Glasgow-born and her background is in science and IT. After completing an MA in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at UCL, she joined the JBC and, after serving two years as Honorary Treasurer, has been Co Chair since 2005.
Lucy Silver
Co-Chair
Lucy Silver was born in Glasgow, studied literature, philosophy, art history and psychology, trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and counselled university students. She joined the JBC in 2008, has been Co Chair since 2011, and took over festival directorship in 2014.
Sarah Fairbairn
Head of Production
Sarah has been living in London and working in books since graduating from Bristol University in 2007. She has been with Jewish Book Week since 2013 and in her previous role was Editorial Manager at Ian Fleming Publications.
Claudia Rubenstein
Festival Director
Claudia directed the Ham & High Literary Festival in 2015. She also writes historical non-fiction – her latest book, a biography of Henry II, King of the North Wind, was published in July. She has researched and written for a number of TV documentaries, and has an MA in medieval history.
