In a lively and entertaining final session, Edwina Currie, novelist, diarist and broadcaster, spoke about her life and times, from her orthodox childhood in Liverpool to her years in the House of Commons and beyond. Along the way she revealed to JC Editor, Ned Temko, theJewish books she would take with her to that mythical desert island.

Edwina Currie has had three successful careers so far! She served as an MP from 1983-1997. She is the author of ten books, which have been translated into several languages. She presented Late Night Currie on Radio 5 Live from 1998 to 2003.

Ned Temko is editor of the Jewish Chronicle and author of To Win or Die: A Personal Portrait of Menachem Begin (1987).
