Memoir Writing : Getting Started, Keeping Going

This workshop provided a toolkit for writing your memoirs, whether for the grandchildren, or for publication. Using examples of printed texts and lots of juicy ideas, Miriam Halahmy lead us into the art of getting started and keeping going. There were writing exercises during the session and feedback was given for those bold enough to share their work aloud.
Miriam Halahmy is a novelist, short story writer and a poet. Miriam has published two collections of poetry, a novel and an education resource about refugee children in Britain today. She has led Creative Writing Workshops for 15 years. In 2009 she was Writer in Residence on a Memories project in Leicester, in conjunction with Leicester University and funded by Heritage Lottery
