From Jewish Book Week

In the words of the great Israeli writer David Grossman,”The horrific events in Israel shook us to the roots.” Our staff and trustees at Jewish Book Week are devastated by the recent atrocities committed by Hamas. We join the British Jewish community and communities around the world in grieving the loss of so many lives and call on the government to help secure the safe and speedy return of the hostages. We stand beside our many Israeli authors, partners, and audience members and hope and pray for peace.

Jewish Book Week has become London’s non-party parliament, distinguished from the other one by people listening as well as talking. It’s the best.

David Hare

I love Jewish Book Week because, whether on stage or in the audience, it makes me feel smart and challenged at the same time.

Tracy Chevalier

Jewish Book Week is one of my favourite festivals all across the world. With a remarkable line-up of speakers and sessions, it nourishes souls, challenges minds and quietly, heals hearts. By the time you leave the festival you feel more connected, less alone.
