Sophie Judah was raised in the Bene Israel community which she brings back to life in her delightful Dropped from Heaven, a collection of interconnected short stories.

In The Last Jews of Kerala, Edna Fernandes shows how internal racism between ‘white’ and ‘black’ Jews and quarrels over who came first, spelt their demise.

Together, they spoke about this fascinating and unique world.
