Anne Frank Revisited
Bernard “Buddy” Elias, Mirjam Pressler, Ilana Winterstein, Gillian Walnes
Buddy Elias, Anne Frank’s only surviving relative, told us about his cousin, as he remembers her. He was joined by Mirjam Pressler, who translated and edited The Diary, and is the author of Treasures from the Attic, which brings together recently discovered material on Anne and her family.
Readings of passages from Tales from the Secret Annexe – the short stories written by Anne whilst in hiding – brought to life her precocious talent as a writer.
Bernard “Buddy” Elias is Anne Frank’s first cousin and president of the Anne Frank Fund. Born in Frankfurt and a retired professional skater, he is still a performing actor.
