The stories in Clive Sinclair’s fourth collection range from New Orleans and Texas to Peru and Venice, and their cast includes Davy Crockett, Princess Diana and Shylock. Dealing mostly with loss, the fear of loss, and love – especially that between husbands and wives and fathers and sons – they are as cruel as life, and as funny.

Clive Sinclair

Clive Sinclair is the author of 14 books. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and holds a doctorate from the University of East Anglia. In 1983 he was selected as one of the original Best of Young British Novelists. He lives in London with the artist, Haidee Becker.

Cathy Galvin

Cathy Galvin is a writer and former deputy editor of the Sunday Times Magazine. She founded the Sunday Times EFG Private Bank short story award and has judged numerous international literary prizes. She now runs the Word Factory, an organisation promoting excellence in short fiction through intimate salons, events, mentoring, masterclasses and publishing.
