Will the Arab Spring lead to peace between Israel and its neighbours, or does it mean perpetual war? Is what we’ve been seeing really an Arab Spring, or is it in fact an Islamic Awakening? Robin Lustig, asked these questions to Jeffrey Goldberg, the man hailed as “the most influential journalist on matters relating to Israel” in a session which looked at what the Arab Spring means for Israel, for the Palestinians, and for the prospects for peace, all against the backdrop of confrontation between the West and Iran.

Robin Lustig is a journalist and broadcaster who presented The World Tonight on BBC Radio 4 from 1989 to 2012 and Newshour on BBC World Service. In 2014 he was named Independent Blogger of the Year.

Jeffrey Goldberg is a national correspondent for The Atlantic and a recipient of the National Magazine Award for Reporting. Author of the book Prisoners: A Muslim and a Jew Across the Middle East Divide, Goldberg also writes the magazine\'s advice column.
