Psychoanalysis grew up around Jews; this heritage continues to affect it both through the rich exchange between Judaism and psychoanalytic thought, and in relation to antisemitism. Stephen Frosh traces the links between Jews, Judaism and psychoanalysis, while looking at transgenerational legacies of trauma.
