Anthony Grenville, Bob Moore

Tony Grenville is the author of the first history of the refugees who fled to Britain from German-speaking lands, from their arrival in the mid-thirties, to their eventual settlement. Bob Moore’s groundbreaking Survivors explores the strategies that enabled Jews to escape or hide from the Nazis, particularly in France, Belgium and Holland.

Anthony Grenville

Anthony Grenville was born in 1944, the son of Viennese refugees. He co-edits the journal of the “Association of Jewish Refugees” and is a senior research fellow at Bristol.

Bob Moore

Bob Moore is Professor of 20th Century European History at Sheffield University. His latest book is entitled: Survivors: Jewish Self Help and Rescue in Nazi-occupied Western Europe.

Ruth Deech

Baroness Ruth Deech is a crossbench peer, member of UK Lawyers for Israel, and formerly chair of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority, governor of the BBC, Principal of St Anne’s College Oxford, chair of the Bar Standards Board, Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education, and trustee of the Rhodes Scholarships.
