Israeli author and filmmaker Ori Elon created hit television drama Shtisel, bringing viewers inside the life of the Haredi community in Jerusalem. Available on Netflix, the award-winning series has become an international sensation. Ori is in conversation with leading media industry figure Michael Grade.

Ori Elon

Ori Elon, born in 1981, is an Israeli author and filmmaker. He is the creator and writer of several critically acclaimed and award-winning series, including Shtisel, The Conductor, and Autonomies, and was one of the writers of Srugim. He is the author of four children's books (including PJ Library book Basket Full of Figs) and the critically acclaimed and award-winning novel The Invisible Show.

Michael Grade

Michael Grade, Lord Grade of Yarmouth, has had a long career in broadcasting, encompassing London Weekend Television, the BBC and ITV, as well as over nine years as Chief Executive of Channel Four Television.
