Sarah Death

Sarah Death is a prizewinning literary translator and has worked on texts of many eras and genres. Among the authors she has translated are Lena Andersson, Kerstin Ekman, Tove Jansson, Selma Lagerlöf, Astrid Lindgren, Sven Lindvist, Göran Rosenberg and Steve Sem-Sandberg. She was the editor of Swedish Book Review for twelve years and is a director of Norvik Press. She has acted as a mentor for a number of emerging literary translators. In September 2019 she was paired with a young Swedish writer to participate in the Jewish Book Week/Beit Venezia ‘Writers in Translation’ Project. image cr John Death
Writers in Translation

In 2021 Jewish Book Week, supported by the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe, held the second European Jewish Writers in Translation workshop. We are joined by a writer and a translator to discuss the process.
